Inorganic chemical storage and transport tank
SAFE STORAGE AND TRANSPORT OF TOXIC AND AGGRESSIVE CHEMICALS
THIELMANN provides safe storage and transport solutions for some of the most toxic, corrosive and aggressive liquid inorganic chemicals on the market. From liquid bromine to aggressive chlorine compounds, THIELMANN provides the right combination of materials and excellent workmanship to handle dangerous elements and compounds.
REFERENCE SPECIFICATIONS
Specifications vary according to particular application requirement. However, Bromine would be an example of such highly corrosive and dangerous liquid. In the industry it is used as flame retardant, fuel additive in oil exploration, and in a variety of chemical compounds.
To showcase the THIELMANN expertise in designing and building tank solutions in this field, here a short description of the THIELMANN bromine tank, which was first launched in 2016.
It has a capacity of 8,350-liter and is approved for the safe transport by road, rail, or sea. This 20-ft x 8-ft x 8-ft intermodal ISO tank container is manufactured from high grade, pressure vessel quality, steel, SA 516 GR 70N, and is lined with lead for corrosion resistance. Further specifications are a flanged manhole, two filling and discharge connections on the manhole, a pressure connection, and a safety valve connection. It has a maximum gross weight of 30,480 kilograms (67,196 pounds) and a working pressure of 13.8 bar or 200 psi. The tank container is tested on a variety of standards including CSC, ASME VIII Division 1, U-Stamp, ADR, RID, IMDG T22, CFR 49 T22, and ISO 1496-3 and even UlC 592.
