THIELMANN PRODUCTS' EUROPEAN CONFORMITY CERTIFICATION
A DEFINITION OF THE CE CERTIFICATION
CE is a certification mark that indicates that a product has met certain predefined standards and that it complies with European legislation within the European Economic Area (EEA). A manufacturer stamps a CE logo on its products to confirm that they comply with the applicable EU safety regulations which relate to the protection of human life and of the environment.
The CE mark indicates that the product may be sold freely in any part of the EEA, irrespective of its country of origin.
The CE mark on a product is essentially a manufacturer's declaration that the product complies with all requirements connected to the relevant European Product Directive to which its product relates to.
THE EUROPEAN PRESSURE VESSELS DIRECTIVE
On request, THIELMANN Pressure Vessels can be supplied with a CE marking which means that they adhere to the standards as set out in the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) (2014/686EU). These standards govern the design, manufacture, and conformity of stationary pressure equipment with a maximum allowable pressure of more than 0.5 bar.
The Pressure Equipment Directive aims to guarantee the free movement of the products within its scope, whilst ensuring a high level of safety.
The THIELMANN vessels that fall under this category carry a CE marking, which offers total assurance and peace of mind that these products are fully compliant according to the Pressure Equipment Directive and that they meet the rigorous standards to ensure quality, safety, and protection of the environment and human life.
